Need a therapist in New York who gets it?

Karras Psychological Services is here!

Therapy That Truly Works.

We know that life can be tough, and even more so when you're struggling with anxiety, depression, low self esteem or an eating disorder. But you don't have to go through it alone.

Our team of therapists are dedicated to meeting you where you are and helping you achieve your mental health goals.

Our approach is different from traditional talk therapy - we understand that you're not just a diagnosis, but a unique individual with your own story. Our personalized, collaborative approach means that we work with you to create a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs, goals, and lifestyle.

Meet the Therapist.

NY psychologist Angela Karras, PSY.D.

Angela Karras, PSY.D.

Hello! I’m Angela, owner and founder of Karras Psychological Services. My interest in the ‘why’ people behave the way they do led me to pursue a career in psychology. I firmly believe in using curiosity and real-life experiences to help my clients feel more connected and understood.

I’m not a sit back and listen kind of therapist; you'll leave each session with concrete steps and a plan for moving forward.

I believe in the power of therapy and have seen it transform lives. My goal is to create a safe and judgment free space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and understand the root of their behaviors. I offer a collaborative approach to therapy, working with clients to help them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

I received my Master’s and Doctoral Degree in clinical psychology from William James College in Massachusetts. I have specialized training in psychodynamic theory, mindfulness, CBT/DBT and have completed specialized training in Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E). I have been a practicing psychologist for 6 years, licensed both in Massachusetts and New York. .

Therapy is hard work, but I promise it’s always worth it.
